Bar and Drinks

Drink tickets can be redeemed for basic drinks (e.g., beer, wine, soft drinks).

Mixed drinks, Red Bull and other premium drinks require two tickets.

Regular Paying Bar: Customers pay per drink; no bar tab or service charge.

Bar Tab: Open a tab up to a certain amount. When the amount you’ve pre-arranged with the booker is reached at the bar, your guests switch to self-paying. The bar tab will be  billed to you on the final invoice with a 12% – 15% service charge. 

Drink Tickets: Distribute tickets for specific drinks; 12% – 15% service charge applies to the total amount paid for the tickets. The cost of the ticket depends on the kinds of drinks you’d like to include.

Open Bar: Fixed cost for unlimited drinks; 12%-15% service charge applies.

Booking and Cancellation

The following cancellation policies apply once the booking is confirmed.

  1. Cancellation over 8 weeks before event: non-refundable €100 booking fee.
  2. Cancellation 6–8 weeks prior: €300 fee (booking fee + bar shortfall) covers admin and potential loss of replacement.
  3. Cancellation 4–6 weeks prior: €100 booking fee + 50% of room rental and bar shortfall.
  4. Cancellation less than 4 weeks prior: €100 booking fee + 100% of room rental and bar shortfall.

Catering and Food Options

No Kitchen Facility: The venue cannot provide stoves, grills, or fridge space. However, you are welcome to bring catering or snacks that don’t require a kitchen set-up. Cleaning up afterwards is the promoter’s responsibility. 

Buffet Setups: We offer 4m by 1m tables for catered events. The caterer must provide tablecloths, napkins, and utensils.

Outdoor Food Options: While food trucks are not permitted, smaller setups like food bikes are allowed, with Starkstrom 16A power available for an additional charge.

Seating: Up to 80 chairs are available for catered events for an extra charge of 100€. You can find out about our free seating options below.

Note: Notify the booker if you plan to serve food to ensure smooth coordination.

Club Visits

We rarely do private viewings because our team members work part time, we provide the following alternatives:

Guest List +1: Receive a guest list spot for you and one additional person at an upcoming public event to get a feel for the club’s atmosphere and layout.

Note: During public events, staff cannot answer event-specific questions. Please address inquiries to the booker via email.

Drop-off and Pick-up of Equipment

  • Early Communication: Inform the production team early to coordinate logistics.
  • Limited Storage: Space is limited; equipment must be picked up promptly to avoid conflicts with subsequent events.
  • Fixed Timelines: Provide clear drop-off and pick-up times. Staff assistance may incur additional charges.

GEMA Compliance

  • Concert promoters must register with GEMA and pay the fee.
  • For club nights and private events, we handle GEMA registration, and the 80€ fee is included in the rental package.

House Rules and Policies

  • For weekday events ending by 23:00, underage guests must have guardians and wear wristbands for age verification.
  • Regular club nights are 18+ only.

LARK: The backstage area can be used as a dark room, though please not it is fairly small. The stage cannot be used as a dark room. For parties with dark rooms we charge an extra 40€ for the cleanup.

Fitzroy: Because there are no separated rooms, this space isn’t equipped to have a dark room. 

The venue insures its staff and equipment but not external risks (e.g., event cancellation or damages). Renters should consider Haftpflicht-/Rechtsschutzversicherung for coverage.

  • External alcohol is prohibited; violators forfeit their deposit.
  • We have a zero-tolerance for discrimination, gender inequality, and sexism. Find our full awareness policy here
  • Events violating house rules or safety standards may be cancelled.

On the Event Day

Yes. Network: “name of the club + Guest” | Password: “eatsomecake”.

  • A night manager will assist with coordination and safety, ensuring adherence to house rules. The arrive 1 hour before doors open. We do not give out phone numbers in advance of the event. 
  • The night manager is in charge of whether or not extra hours are added to an event while it’s taking place based on attendance and bar revenue. If you think you want an extra hour, please also let the Booker know in advance for our staff scheduling. 

Seating and Decorations

Setup Time: 1 hour before doors open with assistance from our technician.

Guidelines:

  • No drilling or aggressive tape on soft surfaces; damages deducted from the deposit.
  • Bring your own supplies (tape, zipties, etc.).
  • Use and return the provided ladder; extra charges apply if not returned.
  • Remove all decorations after the event to avoid extra charges.

Prohibited Materials:

  • No confetti, glitter, paint, streamers, or fire-related items indoors.

Chairs: 26 chairs are available.

Couches & High Tables: Fitzroy has two couches. LARK has one couch. During club nights the stage in LARK can be used for additional seating. LARK has a few high tables and stools as well. 

Staff and Security

  • Mandatory after 00:00: Hire through us for 33€/hr or provide your own. Tasks include bag checks and maintaining a safe environment.
  • A floating safety coordinator paid by the clubs oversees operations at both Fitzroy and LARK on weekends. This is in addition to the security at the door which is paid for, or organized by the promoter. 
  • Private Events: Security staff can also manage the guest list and ensure there are no party crashers.

  • Option 1: Regular Service (Paid by Guests):
    • Guests pay for cloakroom services.
    • Default option unless otherwise discussed.
  • Option 2: Organiser-Paid Service (Free to Guests):
    • Organiser pays 22€/hr + 12%-15% service fee.
    • Service provided by our staff only (promoters cannot manage the cloakroom in any scenario).

  • You can hire a door person from us for 22€/hr to oversee the Kasse and guest list. 
  • You can hire our technician for extra hours beyond what’s included in the rental package for 28€/hr. 
  • You can hire security from us for 33€/hr. 
  • The minimum shift length is 4 hours. 

Technical Setup

Yes, but our technician must oversee operations to ensure the safety of our equipment, and these hours are billed.

  • Club Nights: Technicians are shared between venues; 6 hours total, billed for 3. Extra hours cost 28€/hr.
  • Live Performances: The technician is present from setup until the live performance is finished and packed up. For club nights with live performances we suggest scheduling performances earlier in the night to save on tech costs.
